New page!

I've enjoyed doing lots of subtle little things but I think I need to push the weirdness envelope more (I know, I've said this before but I've gotta keep reminding myself).

A few worldbuilding tidbits:

The structure in the distance is a tethered stratospheric balloon/spaceshaft [link]. They can carry communications equipment or loft rockets up high enough to minimize the use of fuel.

Babyface is Anti-Flash white [link]. Hint hint.

I see that the Quest for Pants was successful...

Unfortunately it was not successful, I kinda started the comic in the middle, so this takes place earlier! Sorry about any confusion!

Aw, he looks so sad! Don't cry, Babyface, I give you big hug!

You've created an incredible sense of pathos here that makes it very easy to feel sympathetic for this giant warbot. IS HE NOT ALSO A MAN??

Also, what Ben said! Somehow the application of those exotic materials to otherwise commonplace objects creates an even more startling sense of disjunction than, like, a giant anti-nuclear cyborganic crybaby sitting in the desert looking pathetic. For example.

Thanks also for the additional background data!

He needs a VERY big hug :O I'm really glad the pathos comes out, it's really hard giving giant warbots sympathetic expressions.

I'm also glad you like the truck! It's partly inspired by the BMW Gina concept [link]
Manufacturing methods seem to be the best way we differentiate the era of products, so I'm trying to use that for the future devices. The general idea is that this is two major generations away from today's manufacturing. The next one being 3D printing based, and the one after being smart and adaptive materials (take off the fabric and the internal parts can rearrange themselves or be placed in different configurations). I really didn't push it as far as I could though, but that's a thing to improve for the future!

I love the detail on the car door - wrinkling out from the main body!

Really cool! I noticed that hand sticking upfront in the last panel. Did Babyface kill that guy and is not pouting?

Nope! That's a left over from a huge battle throughout the US southwest. More hints of it are available in earlier pages!
