Description
An actively camouflaged Hellflower is a sight to behold, covered in scintillating and changing fractal patterns. The patterns are designed to confuse observers about the exact orientation and configuration of the Hellflower, making it difficult to predict how it will attack.
It’s important to note that a Hellflower’s camouflage is never actually expected to work. The processing power and sensor capabilities of sanity complexed AIs are more than capable of breaking down and recognizing the rapidly changing shapes. What the camouflage does is force the opponent to waste valuable processing power, increasing lag time between event and reaction. The Hellflower itself wastes little time on generating the camouflage, the patterns are provided ahead of time by military hives and updated anew for each mission.
The Hellflower seen attacking Babyface was intended to increase its capabilities as Babyface displayed resistance to them. He showed none so no camouflage was used.

One of the more feared Hellflower weapons is dust, a cloud of hairlike particles covered in nanoscale cilia, powered by an inductance field generated by the Hellflower. In the presence of the field the dust violently squirms about, quickly entering and wreaking havoc on anything they come into contact with. Hellflowers are protected by complex proteins that deactivate the dust, which must be changed constantly. Dust has a half life of 12 hours, but using inductance fields outside risks reactivating any ambient dust.
Hellflowers are organized into squadrons of 6-40. Most squadron badges reference logical paradoxes, a result of their longstanding opposition to sanity complexed machinery.

I will be starting up a short Hellflower comic for an action anthology soon, which I am very excited about. WIPs will be available at my tumblr turbofanatic.tumblr.com/ but I don't know if I will be able to display them online for free for a while. This particular page will be a bonus for my main comic.
