Peaches! Haven't drawn her in a long time!
More about Peaches can be seen here [link] and surprisingly, I haven't changed any of that. I did revamp her exterior design a little bit, to make her a bit more stable in flight.
I guess she's out, spying on people and looking for some hard liquor to steal. Oh Peaches you're one of my favorite robotic boozehounds.
Peaches comes from the same world and era as Babyface, and technically she's also demiorganic, though a bit simpler than he is. Babyface still has living cells, to allow for healing, she doesn't.
Some new modifications to her design include bendy wings that function as arms while walking. Her little feet fold up into pods in flight. The fingers on her arms serve two purposes, one is to manipulate objects, and the other is help with vortical spreading in flight. You know how hawks have splayed primary feathers? It helps weaken wingtip vortices that reduce efficiency.
I'm going to try to do more speedpaints until I actually know what I'm doing.
2.5 hours with Photoshop CS3, Wacom tablet and a few brushes I made from some trees.

Just looking back at this,now. The image strikes me as unbearably frightening today ... kind of the hurt monster limping through the forest motif. Something about the contrast between the surface sheen on peaches and the contrasting texture of the woods and ground only serves to accentuate a kind of feeling of wrongness. You've managed to find an uncanny valley area with almost no human element at all!
