They don't have to obey the rules set down in the runtime scheme, ya know? Gravity, thermodynamics, you name it, if there's a rule it doesn't apply to an Admin if they don't want it to.
For the most part, they're just invisible. Just ghosts cleaning up anything that might impede the storyline of a RPG or supermovie. Stuff like that. But if you screw around with a hive's finances or sims, well, it was nice knowing you.
You mess with a hive in their own head, you will see these guys. Subconscious algorithms running around like something out of a nightmare. And I guess they are. Hives have dreams too, and they weave these algorithms so deeply into their brains the sleeping ones guard the awake.
They will find you, no don't go "but I've got interthreading and soft tunnels" they're a hive for chrissakes. You're a dog trying to crack a safe to them.
If you're lucky they'll just gather up the evidence and take you to court. If you're lucky. And I know they say hives don't take offense and they're nice and blahblah but the Admins... they do things. They can do awful things.
And no one will ever know.
